College Council

The East Doncaster Secondary College School Council comprises 6 parent representatives, 5 staff representatives, 2 student representatives and up to 4 community representatives. The School Council oversees all matters relating to College finances and policy development and implementation. It regularly discusses progress and developments in Facilities, Student Leadership, School Uniform, Canteen, our International Student Program.

Our Parents and Friends Association (PFA) is represented on School Council and has a valuable role in advising School Council on issues of interest to parents.

Parents members who would like to be involved in either School Council or our PFA are invited to contact the Principal.

Please note that from 2026, parent/carer members will need a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) before they can nominate for School Council. If you’re thinking about nominating, please ensure you have a current WWCC. If you need to apply for a WWCC in order to be eligible to nominate, please be aware that processing can take 3–12 weeks. Volunteer WWCCs are free and can be completed online via Service Victoria.
