Through a formal process, the names Bradman, Chisholm, Dunlop and Sutherland were agreed upon to represent our House names. Sir Donald Bradman, Caroline Chisholm, Sir Edward ‘Weary’ Dunlop and Dame Joan Sutherland became important to us for what they had represented by their deeds and by their character.
School pride that supports a strong sense of belonging is enhanced through our vibrant House System. Our House System is aimed at offering connection, organisation and a tangible representation of our values.
Our sporting carnivals in swimming, athletics and cross country are wonderful examples of our community striving to be their best and further developing teacher and student relationships.
Our 4 different houses each have a colour allocated to them:
Bradman
Chisholm
Dunlop
Sutherland
All students are placed into a House when they start at East Doncaster Secondary College and will stay in that house throughout their time at the College.
The colour of the house students are in, is visible on the sport tops that the students wear. The House names and colours are also represented on some of our buildings.
