2026 Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey

Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Carer Opinion Survey offered by the Department of Education and is seeking your feedback. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage and appreciate your participation. Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.

The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will be open online from Monday 17 August to Friday 18 September 2026.

All families are invited to participate in the survey. An email with the link to complete the survey will be sent to one survey invitation will be distributed per household. Parents / Caregivers / Guardians living together should complete one survey jointly. This email will also provide a PIN for you to access the survey.

The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.

The online survey will be available in English and 10 other languages including Arabic, Chinese Simplified and Traditional, Persian, Korean, Urdu, Hindi, Vietnamese, Punjabi, Sinhalese. Resources are also available in additional languages to assist parents / caregivers / guardians who speak a language other than English at home. Please contact the school office for survey guides in your preferred language.

The survey results will be reported back to our school at the end of September. This information is then published in the College’s Annual Report to the Schools Community, which is published on the EDSC website and updated at the end of Term 1 every year.

Term 3 Parent – Student – Teacher Conferences

Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences will be taking place on Thursday 10 September.

After seeking parent feedback, we have made the decision to change the structure of the day. Holding these conferences within regular school hours increases staff availability and allows for additional interview slots to be included, thereby providing more families with the opportunity to meet with teachers and discuss their child’s progress.

We appreciate that this is a change from previous years and thank our community for your understanding as we implement a model designed to improve access and increase the number of available appointments.

Interview Times are:

Interviews 9.00am – 10.30am

Interviews 10.45am to 12.30pm

Interviews 1.15pm – 3.00pm

Interviews 3.10pm – 4.30pm

The Parent -Student – Teacher Conferences Booking System will be accessible from:

Year 12 Student Bookings – 12.00pm Wednesday 26 August until 12.00pm Wednesday 9 September.

Year 7 to 11 (including Year 11 students doing a Unit 3/4 subject) Student Bookings – 12.00pm Friday 28 August until 12.00pm Wednesday 9 September.

Please note that bookings are essential – there will be no opportunity for unscheduled interviews.
