Victorian School Music Festival Performances
Term 3 is our busiest term for Music performances, with a number of performances at the Victorian School Music Festival throughout August and September. Please stay up to date with consent as these events appear on Compass and meet deadlines for Parent consent.
Participation in these events is required as part of the commitment to the Music program, if any students will be away and unable to attend, conductors need to know immediately. Performances are listed below in ‘Upcoming Events’.
Vocal Soiree
Congratulations to all students who performed in the Vocal Soiree on Tuesday evening. Parents and friends were entertained with a range of styles from The Cranberries to Frozen. A celebratory supper afterwards was the perfect cap to the evening.
Defence Force School of Music Free Concert
The Defence Force School of Music (DFSM) holds a regular series of ‘At Home’ Concerts throughout the year at Simpson Barracks, Watsonia.
These performances are free, open to the public and feature a variety of music performed by Australian Defence Force Musicians.
They are now accepting bookings to the next At Home Concert, which will be held at 10.30 am on Wednesday, 23rdof September 2026.

Uniform Reminder
We have strict requirements for our Performing Arts uniform just like other options of the school uniform. This includes the required black shirt, straight black ‘business’ style pants, black socks and black dress shoes (including school shoes).
The Performing Arts uniform does not include white socks, sneakers or barrel-style pants.
Students who do not have the correct uniform will be given out-of-uniform reminders and may be asked not to perform.
