Pollinator Patches
The Environment Club is developing pollinator patches around the school, planting different varieties of flowers to attract butterflies and other pollinator friends to the area. Increasing our biodiversity increases our resilience to climate change.
If you have any seeds or plants you wish to donate please contact Nicola Ritchie at Nicola.ritchie@education.vic.gov.au
Environment Club Eco-Tip of the Week
Recycle – don’t wishcycle! Don’t just chuck things in the recycling bin hoping they’re recyclable.
Check what is recyclable in our local council area. Remember in Manningham your recycling should be loose and not in plastic bags.
Environment Club updates

Our native gardens continue to grow well and the Environment Club has been working to mulch many of our bare garden beds. Mulch helps protect and nourish the soil and come summer, will be vital in retaining water in the garden.
Please keep an eye out for sick birds in the area and report them as it may be a sign of avian flu. More information can be found here. In order to help slow the spread and protect our wildlife, please keep your cats indoors, your dogs leashed and away from birds, and drive carefully.
